We wander the tree-shaded meandering
paths on 20 acres of over 2,200 different
species that transformed this naturally
lovely landscape into an international
botanical wonderland.  Spring will find
some of us going back.
Several hours later we enjoyed our packed lunches under the canopy of old oaks amidst glorious Fall
colors, then onto our
next stop at the Tangleweed Organic Farm.
Laurie Thorpe, owner and guide, shares her knowledge and smiles while
walking us around her farm and gift shop.  Just under three acres of land
has become both functional as a source of food production and
aesthetic as a simple source of beauty. Tangleweed Farm serves as an
earthen piece of artwork upon which a slightly different picture is painted
with each passing season.  For more information

Next stop: The Pulford Appletree Orchard
where fifteen varieties of apples flourish on over 2,000 trees.  For more information

Some of us continued to The Tehachapi Museum while others
headed back to the valley stopping at Murray Farms before heading
home.  Another wonderful relaxing day out with gardening friends.
Thank you Rose Mary for setting up this great day for us.
